Old Business

President Novak reported the following:

The P.I. Class discussed previously is still being worked on by Dr. Schroeder. The class is for those that do not qualify for the BCA Series.

The Gas Explosion Project will be July 17-20. Set up will be on the 17th and 18th, leak tests and natural gas explosion the 19th, LP explosions the 20th. The Minnesota LP Association has agreed to donated $5000 and the National Association has agreed to donate $25,000.

We are looking for apartment buildings or hotels where rooms are the same for Fall test burns. Contact him if you know of any being demolished.

The Board is still working on Insurance for the Chapter.

We done further research and decided not to proceed with the Prosecutors Symposium at this time.

Arson dog - nothing new, several people are working on getting dogs back into Minnesota. The chapter has committed to help fund food and vet costs to a reasonable level.

We would like to do more with Arson Awareness week in 2002. Start thinking of ideas and get them to Novak or the committee.

New Business

President Novak reported the following:

We had a good showing from Minnesota at the International meeting in May. The mail in ballot was a success with over 800 requests received. There is no bid for the 2004 seminar at this time. After discussion we decided we are not interested. Next years conference is in Michigan which should make it easier for Minnesota members to attend.

We received a request for a referral through the web page. In order to facilitate the need for such information the Board has agreed to provide a "Members on the web" area for those who are interested. Members interested in listing their web page, company, or other information should contact Jeff Schadegg.

President Novak suggested we make a $200 Donation to the Bloomington Fire Prevention Fund as a way to say thank you allowing the Chapter to use their meeting room. Motion by Stark, seconded by Howe to approve donation as stated. Motion passed.

Adjournment

Motion by Freeby, seconded by Wiestling, to Adjourn. Motion passed.

Respectfully submitted,

Jeffrey G. Schadegg

Secretary
